The incident occurred on Tuesday (October 6) before 6:00 p.m. in Kruszyn. Two cars—a Fiat Seicento and a Ford Sierra—collided on a bend in Turkusowa Street. As a result of the collision, two people in the Fiat were taken to hospital: an 8-year-old girl and her 46-year-old father.

According to police findings, the 20-year-old Ford driver from Bolesławiec failed to adjust his speed while negotiating the bend, crossed into the opposite lane and collided with the Fiat. The man's driving licence was confiscated.

The Sierra driver did not want medical assistance. Local residents say that drivers routinely exceed the speed limit on this road and that speed bumps would be useful there.
