The following performers appeared before the Bolesławiec audience: Anna Jurksztowicz, Krzesimir Dębski, the Orchestra of the Lower Silesian Philharmonic in Jelenia Góra, and the Wrocław Chamber Choir: the Choir of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences and the Wrocław University Choir Gaudium.
The guests who attended the concert were welcomed by parish priest ks. Andrzej Jarosiewicz and the event’s principal organizer, Bolesławiec mayor Piotr Roman.
Works by Krzesimir Dębski were performed in the Bolesławiec basilica. The audience heard Psalm I, set to words by Czesław Miłosz. Anna Jurksztowicz performed “Syberiada polska” and “Dumka na dwa serca,” a song known from the film “With Fire and Sword.” The moved audience warmly received Krzysztof Komeda’s song with lyrics by Agnieszka Osiecka, “Nim wstanie dzień,” from the 1964 film “Law and Fist.”
During the concert, the Society of Friends of Lviv and the Southeastern Borderlands in Bolesławiec held a fundraiser for Poles living in Ukraine.
The event was organized by: the Municipality of Bolesławiec, the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre–International Ceramics Centre, the Society of Friends of Lviv and the Southeastern Borderlands in Bolesławiec, and the SOLO Concert and Publishing Agency.
