Residents placed the snake in a waste container. The officers who arrived at the scene determined that it was a grass snake, harmless to humans. A veterinarian was called to the scene, captured the animal and released it in a forest.

The grass snake is the most common snake in Poland and is subject to partial species protection. Sometimes grass snakes venture near homes (gardens), without harming anyone. They are harmless and even avoid people.
