As we read on the website of the Bolesławiec Municipal Police:
- Mandatory requirements specified in Article 24 of the Act of 29 August 1997 on municipal (city) guards (Journal of Laws No. 123, item 779, as amended), namely:
- Polish citizenship
- at least 21 years of age
- full public rights
- at least secondary education
- an impeccable reputation
- physical and mental fitness
- not having been convicted by a final court judgment of a publicly prosecuted offense committed intentionally or a fiscal offense
- a regulated status with regard to military service
- Additional requirements:
- knowledge of the topography of Bolesławiec
- computer skills, including the OFFICE suite (Word, Excel)
- the ability to organize one's own work
- communication skills, resistance to stress, discipline
- the ability to work in a team, availability
- Scope of duties:
- monitoring the maintenance of order and cleanliness in Bolesławiec
- checking the correctness of street and property signage and their security condition
- monitoring the performance of tasks and duties by road and property managers
- informing and notifying the relevant authorities about cases of non-compliance with other sanitary and public-order regulations, environmental protection regulations, fire-safety regulations and other regulations concerning public order in Bolesławiec (including the regulations on maintaining cleanliness and order in Bolesławiec)
- responding to all kinds of irregularities related to keeping domestic and farm animals
- intervening in situations posing a threat to life, health or property
- maintaining order and controlling road traffic—to the extent specified in traffic regulations
- cooperating with relevant entities in rescuing citizens' lives and health, assisting in removing technical failures and the effects of natural disasters and other local hazards
- securing the scene of a crime, disaster or other similar event, or areas threatened by such an event, against access by unauthorized persons or the destruction of traces and evidence until the relevant services arrive, as well as identifying witnesses to the event whenever possible
- protecting municipal facilities and public-utility infrastructure
- informing the local community about the status and types of threats, as well as initiating and participating in activities aimed at preventing crimes and misdemeanors and criminogenic phenomena, and cooperating in this area with state and local-government authorities and social organizations
- continuously improving professional qualifications.

- declaration of no criminal record (a handwritten declaration by the candidate stating that they have not been convicted by a final court judgment of an intentional publicly prosecuted offense or an intentional fiscal offense)
- declaration of full legal capacity and full public rights
- a photocopy of an identity card or a handwritten, signed declaration of citizenship
- photocopies of the pages of the military booklet containing information about military service status.
The application documents must include the following clauses (cover letter and CV):

“I acknowledge the obligation to publish my personal data in the Public Information Bulletin, in accordance with the requirements of the Act of 21 November 2008 on local-government employees (Journal of Laws No. 223, item 1458, as amended).”
Documents must be submitted in sealed envelopes bearing the candidate's first and last name, address and contact telephone number, with the following note: “recruitment for a municipal police officer”

Deadline: by 2 October 2015 (applications received after this date will not be considered).
Candidates who, following verification by the recruitment committee, meet the formal requirements will be invited to interviews. The committee reserves the right to invite only those candidates who have submitted the most interesting applications.
Documents belonging to candidates who are not selected for employment may be collected in person at the headquarters of the Bolesławiec Municipal Police after the recruitment procedure has concluded— by 31 October 2015. Uncollected applications will be destroyed.
Information about the recruitment result will be posted on the website of the Public Information Bulletin and on the notice board at the headquarters of the Bolesławiec Municipal Police.
