These businesses have created more than 500 jobs. A further 54 hectares of land covered by tax incentives are still awaiting future investors. The Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone “Invest-Park” has decided to open a branch office in the city.

– The opening of the office is another step confirming that the zone has become a permanent presence in Bolesławiec. The industrial hall built by the zone, which houses its headquarters, has been fully occupied by businesses. We are therefore considering constructing further facilities in this region. We are currently determining where they should be built – said Ilona Antoniszyn-Klik, Deputy Minister of Economy, during the opening ceremony.

The Bolesławiec subzone is one of the larger and more dynamically developing locations of the Wałbrzych zone. The sites are just 4 km from the A4 motorway junction. It is also the WSSE location closest to the German border. Almost every year, another investor establishes operations in the city and creates new jobs.

– Our task is to create suitable conditions for businesses – emphasized Kornel Filipowicz, the city’s deputy mayor, at the ceremony. – We try to use instruments such as the Innovative Economy Programme and economic zones. Every new investor promotes Bolesławiec, making it easier to attract further businesses that create jobs.

There are currently 8 companies operating on WSSE land in Bolesławiec. Half of the businesses represent the automotive industry: Hoerbiger, SRG Global, Kegger and Turningtec. Sacher is involved in metalworking. The electronics sector is represented by Elektros, while Vilsait operates in logistics. The newest investor is the Dutch company Favorite Gifts Print Europe, which produces promotional items and materials and provides printing services in Bolesławiec.

The opening of the new WSSE office will enable more effective efforts to attract further investors and improve communication with the local government. It will also make it easier to respond to the needs of companies already operating here. It is WSSE’s fifth branch office, after those in Wrocław, Opole, Kłodzko and Września.

– Special Economic Zones have become an engine driving the economy. The Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone alone is home to nearly 180 companies, which have invested almost PLN 20 billion and created more than 41,000 jobs – emphasized Teodor Stępa, vice-president of WSSE “Invest-Park”.

The Wałbrzych zone currently covers sites in 48 towns and cities in south-western Poland. It operates across the Lower Silesian, Opole, Lubusz and Greater Poland voivodeships. It is the largest of the 14 Special Economic Zones operating in Poland.
