The course for artillery regiment commanders, artillery squadron commanders, and heads of the rocket forces and artillery of divisions and brigades focuses on the “Rules for Firing and Fire Direction in Special Conditions”. In accordance with the plan approved by the Land Forces Inspector, the training was divided into two panels, comprising workshops and methodological lectures and demonstrations at the Land Forces Field Training Centre in Żagań.

Following the opening of the training, Deputy Head of the DGRSZ Rocket Forces and Artillery Directorate Colonel Sławomir Owczarek presented the course plan and its main training objectives. Priority objectives include improving knowledge of the “Artillery Safety Instruction”, as well as familiarisation with the structure of the WRiA doctrinal document architecture and the process of developing tactical doctrinal and supplementary documents. He then handed over to the commander of the 23PA, Colonel Paweł Świtalski, who discussed organisational matters and the training facilities, and familiarised participants with the Regiment’s current tasks.

The first day of training included a series of lectures and a panel discussion. The first lecture, concerning the structures and processes for developing tactical doctrinal and supplementary documents in the rocket forces and artillery, was delivered by Colonel Sławomir Owczarek. The Deputy Head of the WRiA Directorate presented the normative documents currently in force, the needs, and the directions of change concerning the “Artillery Safety Instruction”.

This was followed by workshops in working groups, during which proposals for amendments to the aforementioned instruction were developed. The workshops were led by the heads of WRiA: 11DKPanc Colonel Mirosław Misior, 12DZ Colonel Andrzej Lorenc and 16DZ Colonel Jarosław Gołębski within their subordinate functional divisions.
