Residents of Rudna municipality had the opportunity to taste various types of honey and see the process of producing it, demonstrated by the event’s initiator Remigiusz Reszka. “Beekeeping is above all a passion that requires time and patience, but its results are exceptionally sweet,” says R. Reszka.
Local beekeepers informed visitors at their stands about the benefits and flavors of honey. “Honey helps with all ailments. Buckwheat honey is useful for diseases of the circulatory system, linden honey is a good remedy for upper and lower respiratory tract conditions, acacia honey helps with colds, and rapeseed honey helps with liver problems,” says Wacław Cidyło, deputy chairman of the Rudna Beekeepers’ Association and a beekeeper for 45 years.
The event also included a training conference led by beekeeping enthusiast Sławomir Trzybiński, as well as games and activities for the youngest participants.
The Municipal Festival was organized by the Rudna Beekeepers’ Association of the Legnica Land Beekeepers’ Association and the head of Rudna municipality.
