This was a completely new situation for those responsible for managing the facilities, just as the changing climate is new for us. The County Board reacted immediately, and the building was initially secured against similar incidents, while preparations were also made for the second stage of the investment.

It was decided to go a step further, and the choice fell on roads—but what was necessary was a comprehensive drainage system for the area around the “Mechanic” building.

Renovation began during the past summer holidays. The construction company selected through the tender insulated the school building’s exterior walls and carried out its thermal modernization.

The key issue in this situation was, above all, proper drainage of the building, achieved by installing a stormwater sewer system. During the underground works, funds were also allocated to developing the area around the school building.

The investment will ultimately cost just under PLN 240,000, and the completion of the works is scheduled for the end of October.
