The incident occurred on Friday, 4 September, at around 4 p.m. The mammal was handed over to the Municipal Police patrol that arrived at the scene. It was immediately taken to a veterinary clinic and placed in the care of a veterinarian.

The Municipal Police reminds residents that bats are strictly protected animals, and officers take appropriate action only when the lives of the mammals are directly threatened.

Bats must not be frightened away or moved to another location. As a rule, after nightfall they find the exit and fly away on their own.
