In the garden beside the Ceramics Department on Mickiewicza Street, participants in the workshops could make stamped decorations on Bolesławiec bisque ware and paper models of vessels on Saturday and Sunday. Under the supervision of qualified decorators, they created interesting designs which, together with their authors, travelled to many parts of Poland and Europe. Visitors could also take part in the “ceramics technology school for the youngest”, where they could learn about the production process of local stoneware, identify different types of ceramics, and put together three-dimensional and traditional puzzles depicting the most interesting ceramic exhibits.

On the courtyard of the Department of the History of the City at 14 Kutuzowa Street, textile handicraft workshops were held on Saturday and Sunday (22–23 August 2015). Participants could make stamped decorations on fabric products. Beautiful napkins, pouches and bags were created. Children and young people could also make puppets dressed in traditional historical costumes. The youngest participants were provided with salt-dough figurines depicting figures in medieval and Renaissance clothing, which they could decorate with paints and successfully use as puppets in a home theatre.

At the same time, visitors to the stand in the Market Square could learn about throwing pottery on a wheel. Everyone could sit at an electric wheel and, under the guidance of an experienced potter, make a vessel themselves.

Both departments of the Museum of Ceramics welcomed visitors from all over Poland, as well as from the Netherlands, Hungary, England, Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy, France, Ukraine, Japan, Korea and the USA.

Additionally, on Friday, 21 August 2015, a seminar entitled “Development Opportunities for Bolesławiec Ceramics Based on R&D Projects Using the Instruments of the ‘Horizon 2020’ Perspective” was held at the Ceramics Department at 13 Mickiewicza Street. The conference was organised by the Bolesławiec Business Association in cooperation with the Museum of Ceramics, under the patronage of Cezary Przybylski, Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship; Dariusz Kwaśniewski, Bolesławiec County Starost; and Piotr Roman, Mayor of Bolesławiec. It was attended by numerous representatives of local ceramic companies and associations, as well as lecturers from AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków. The conference presented new avenues of development and prospects for local stoneware manufacturers.
