On Wednesday, Piotr Rubik visited Bolesławiec. The renowned composer and conductor came to our city to lead the “Tu Es Petrus” oratorio. Several hours before the concert, a press conference was held with the composer and the accompanying soloists.
The “Tu Es Petrus” concert began at 7:15 p.m. in the Church of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ on Orzeszkowej Street.
The concert was broadcast on a large screen set up in front of the church. Piotr Rubik was accompanied by the soloists Dorota Marczyk, Joanna Słowińska, Olga Szomańska, Przemysław Branny, Maciej Miecznikowski and Janusz Radek.
The Choir of the Institute of Music Education of the Świętokrzyska Academy and the Orchestra of the Lower Silesian Philharmonic in Jelenia Góra also performed. The concert’s narrator was Igor Michalski. During the concert, one person fainted in the church, so the oratorio was interrupted briefly. In total, the “Tu Es Petrus” concert lasted more than two hours. The artists performed several encores.
