The main parade of the Ceramic Festival was joined, without prior announcement, by a dozen or so Gliniada supporters. They walked around the Market Square in a protest understood only by themselves. Dressed in black, they demanded the Gliniada that Bogusław Nowak himself gave up when the city offered him PLN 15,000 to organize the private event. He wanted more than 40,000. Now he is turning the story on its head and blaming the city because the White Gliniada did not take place.

“I came to the Gliniada from Chicago and I’m outraged that Nowak didn’t organize it,” a tourist we asked for an opinion told us. “The creator of the Gliniada is responsible for this. In the States, we do business on our own instead of asking the city for grants.”

Other tourists from the USA and Germany whom we asked had similar opinions and could not understand why the creator of the Gliniada had not accepted the large sum of money offered by the city. “Does a parade like that cost anything at all?” wondered Lucy from Miami. “It seems to me that people take part in it for free.”
