At the “mała Biała” gallery of the International Ceramics Centre, Bolesławiec’s largest producers presented their latest products for the third time.
At the exhibition “New Design in Bolesławiec Ceramics,” Zakłady Ceramiczne Bolesławiec Sp. z o.o. displayed forms by Janina Bany-Kozłowska, decorated by Iwona Piela, Danuta Amborska and Beata Danielewicz.
Fabryka Naczyń Kamionkowych “Manufaktura” Spółka Jawna Smoleński & Zwierz presented designs by Oskar Zięta and Magdalena Gazur, while “Ceramika Artystyczna” Spółdzielnia Rękodzieła Artystycznego presented designs by Mariusz Ochocki, the chief designer and artistic director, decorated by Teresa Liana and Maria Starzyk.
The exhibition was opened by Ewa Lijewska-Małachowska, who highlighted the achievements of all the exhibiting companies, which have cooperated with BOK-MCC for years by hosting artists participating in the ceramic plein-air workshop. Ceramika Artystyczna president Helena Smoleńska, speaking about the company’s chief pattern maker, also mentioned the unforgettable ceramic artist the late Bronisław Wolanin.
The president, who was present at the exhibition, stressed that ceramics made in local factories are the city’s strength and hallmark.
