One of the crowns was reconstructed in its entirety. They are placed on opposite walls, above a magnificent fireplace and above the spot where an imperial portrait once hung. Its frame has also been gilded, while the interior is filled with a mirror composed of a series of elements. Specialists installed it a few days ago. Gilded elements on the stucco appear wherever they originally existed.
Soon, parquet flooring will be laid in the Royal Hall. The next step in completing the Baroque interior will be the installation of magnificent chandeliers. They are faithful reproductions of the original, which is located in St John the Baptist’s Church in Legnica.
It is worth adding that renovation work is also under way in the second representative hall of the Knights’ Academy—the manege hall (also known as the riding hall) on the ground floor. Recently, tests were carried out on installing special acoustic panels on the walls. The ceiling of the room is covered with acoustic plaster. The aim is to achieve the best possible conditions for purposes such as concerts.
