Police officers from the police station in Nowogrodziec detained a 19-year-old resident of Sosnowiec, suspected of damaging road infrastructure. During operational activities, officers determined that the perpetrator was responsible for damaging three roadside mirrors.
It turned out that, while returning from a party, the man smashed mirrors in Osiecznica for no reason at all. Such mirrors are used in places where drivers have limited visibility. He also knocked one of them off its post. The damage was estimated at PLN 1,500.
The suspect confessed to the acts he was charged with. He will now face trial for his prank. For this type of offence, he could face up to five years in prison.
