The City History Department of the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec is preparing an exhibition commemorating the 60th anniversary of the arrival in the Bolesławiec region of Poles from the former Yugoslavia. In connection with this, the Museum’s staff are appealing to re-emigrants or their descendants for help in collecting materials that could expand and enhance the exhibition.

We are looking for anything that could bring the realities of those times and events closer: furniture, personal belongings, everyday objects, work tools, as well as other family mementos—letters, photographs, documents of various kinds, etc.—both items brought “from there” and those relating to their “new” place of life. Objects presented at the exhibition will be described with an indication of whom they belong to and returned after the exhibition ends.

We ask everyone who feels a connection to this part of our history and would like to help commemorate it to contact the City History Department of the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec in person or by telephone: 14 Kutuzowa Street, tel. 0 75 644 22 00, on any working day from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Readers will be invited to view the exhibition soon.
