The applications submitted so far have already been reviewed. The first agreements have been signed. Old, inefficient coal-fired stoves, including tiled stoves, will be removed. In some cases, the stoves are in such poor condition that during inspections of the buildings, City Hall employees were unable to determine their technical parameters, including heating capacity or efficiency. According to the applications, some of these stoves will be replaced with modern, high-efficiency retort stoves, while others will be replaced with low-emission gas stoves. Not only residents of Odrodzenia, Bankowa, Osiedlowa and Bukowa streets, where the investments are planned, will benefit. The gradual removal of this type of stove will help improve air quality throughout the city.

The city still has funds available and is therefore inviting further interested parties to submit applications. Applications can be submitted until September 15 this year., It is better not to wait until the last minute, however, because the investment covered by the application must be completed and settled within this year. Applications to settle the grant are submitted after the entire investment has been completed, but no later than November 15 this year.

Individuals and housing associations that own old coal-fired stoves and plan to remove them and change their heating system this year may apply for funding. Eligible options include connection to the municipal heating network, modern high-efficiency boilers (gas, oil, coal or pellet, with coal and pellet boilers permitted only if equipped with an automatic feeder and having an efficiency of at least 80%), electric heating or heat pumps. Property owners may receive funding covering up to 50% of the investment costs, but no more than PLN 5,000. The funding applies only to new investments; reimbursement of costs for investments that have already been completed is not possible.
