The aim of the Programme is to provide the poorest residents with food assistance and participation in activities under the accompanying measures from May 2015 to February 2016.
People entitled to receive support in the form of food and accompanying activities are those who meet the eligibility criteria for the status of a person most in need, as specified by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy. These include individuals and families in a difficult life situation who meet the criteria set out in Article 7 of the Social Assistance Act and whose income does not exceed 150% of the income threshold entitling them to social assistance (PLN 813.00 for a person running a household alone and PLN 684.00 per person in a family), on the basis of a referral issued by this Centre. Food is planned to be provided to 215 people from 54 families.
Food products will be distributed in food parcels containing, by the end of February 2016, at least products from the following list: fusilli pasta, white rice, pearl barley, cornflakes, UHT milk, yellow cheese, peas with carrots, tomato purée, strawberry jam, pork luncheon meat, meatballs in their own sauce, white sugar and rapeseed oil.
The parcels are distributed at the GOPS headquarters in Rudna, 5 plac Zwycięstwa. Eligible recipients will be informed by telephone about the collection date.
As part of the accompanying activities, individual psychological counselling will be organised from July to December 2015, focusing on identifying one’s own competencies and resolving care and parenting problems.
