At the parade in Lwówek, Bolesławiec was represented by President Piotr Roman, as well as the director and employees of BOK-MCC. Interestingly decorated bicycles appeared at the agate parade, because during the Bolesławieckie Święto Ceramiki, cycling enthusiasts will be able to take part in the Festival of Cultures in the “Bicycle Stampede” competition. It will assess not only the outfits of parade participants, but also the styling of their bicycles. The person who decorates a bicycle most creatively, using the traditional patterns of Bolesławiec products, will win. And there is something to compete for: attractive prizes await all winners.

What does a group taking part in the Festival of Cultures parade gain?

  • the opportunity to present its activities to a broad audience
  • promotion of its activities through contact with the audience
  • the opportunity to appear on radio and television
  • participation in a competition for the most interesting presentation
  • good fun and all-encompassing joy

A little imagination and creativity are all that is needed. Prepare a costume referring to Bolesławiec ceramics: outfits matching the colors and shapes of the ceramics, makeup, headwear and other props. There are many possibilities, just as there are many patterns of ceramics produced by Bolesławiec factories.

Applications must be submitted by 10 August 2015: by post, by fax to 75 644 21 47, by email at festiwalkultur@viasudetica.pl, or delivered in person to the BOK-MCC secretariat at plac. Piłsudskiego 1 c, 59-700 Bolesławiec.

The application form for participation in the parade, as well as the competition for the most interesting costume, and the regulations can be downloaded from: www.swietoceramiki.pl, www.bok.boleslawiec.pl

The organizers of the Ceramic Parade and Festival of Cultures are Bolesławiecki Ośrodek Kultury-Międzynarodowe Centrum Ceramiki and Stowarzyszenie Bolesławieckie Centrum Inicjatyw Lokalnych „Via Sudetica”.
