It monitors places where children and young people gather, including school sports grounds, playgrounds, courtyards, green areas, including the Municipal Park, swimming areas and bodies of water. Officers monitor outlets selling alcohol and tobacco products to check whether they are being sold to minors.
Officers from the Holiday Patrol visit places where day camps are organized. During these meetings, they hold talks and recreational activities about safety. Such meetings remind participants about risky behavior, increasing safety during summer recreation. Therefore, the officers welcome invitations from organizers of summer activities.
Another summer feature is the bicycle patrols of the Municipal Police in Legnica. Officers patrol primarily green areas, bodies of water and places where children and young people gather. They reach every place that is narrow or difficult to access by patrol car. In this way, the uniformed officers perform their duties while maintaining order and peace. Service performed by bicycle patrol officers is seasonal and adapted to weather conditions.
