- On July 1, “Inside Out,” the latest animated film from Disney/Pixar, will be shown. Its protagonists are emotions living in the mind of a maturing girl. There are five of them: Joy, Fear, Anger, Sadness and Disgust. When Riley leaves her hometown with her parents and moves to San Francisco, she tries to adapt to the new situation. Like each of us, the heroine is guided by emotions: Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness. Growing up can be difficult, also for Riley. Although Joy does everything to maintain a positive atmosphere, the girl finds it difficult to settle into her new city, home and school.
- On July 3, “Jurassic World,” a production about dinosaurs, will be shown. It is the most-watched film of the year. The film is set in 2015. Twenty-two years have passed since the events depicted in “Jurassic Park.” Isla Nublar is equipped with a fully operational amusement park inhabited by dinosaurs brought back through cloning. One day, the scientists conducting experiments create a completely new dinosaur possessing the traits of two reptiles: a velociraptor and a tyrannosaurus. Everything goes according to plan until the creature escapes from the park.
- On July 4 at 12:15 p.m., the first screening as part of the fairytale summer at Forum cinema will be “Gnomeo & Juliet.” Tickets cost only PLN 9. “Gnomeo & Juliet” is a hilariously told version of Shakespeare’s most famous romance of all time, this time transferred to the least likely setting—the world of garden gnomes. In a colorful backyard filled with pink flamingos, marble fountains and plastic palm trees, Gnomeo and Juliet meet and… fall in love to the tips of their gnome hats. In this way, the seemingly peaceful garden will become a real battlefield between the feuding clans of red and blue gnomes. Which side will win, and will great love survive?
Also showing: “A Summer in Provence,” a moving journey full of positive energy, warmth and humor to one of the most picturesque corners of the world—sunny Provence. Jean Reno stars. Lea and Adrian, who live in Paris, are typical teenagers: somewhat lost and rebellious, inseparable from their tablets and smartphones. When it turns out that their parents’ marriage is hanging by a thread, they are sent with their younger brother to southern France, to visit a grandfather they have not seen for years. Paul (Jean Reno) turns out to be a spirited, though somewhat grumpy, older man. The grandfather will give his city-dwelling grandchildren a tough lesson in life by organizing an extraordinary holiday they will never forget.
Reservations and the schedule are available on the Forum cinema website.
