The organisers about the workshops:
During the three-week programme, we develop children’s manual skills, run a programme of educational games and activities, teach them how to think artistically and help them discover new passions. We stimulate creative thinking, present various aspects of art and talk about the history of the former Stalag VIII A prisoner-of-war camp, as well as the ecology of this place and the possibilities offered by the environment in relation to art.
Younger children (aged 7–10) can develop new skills in groups and individually, while older children (aged 11–13), in addition to having fun, have the opportunity to acquire specific skills and a youth cultural animator diploma, serving as a certificate confirming participation in the workshops, and to learn about socio-cultural animation techniques.
During the workshops, participants will explore visual arts, analogue (pinhole) photography, ecology, animation, theatre and literature under the guidance of qualified educators and artists!
