813 primary school graduates will say goodbye to the school they attended for six years and begin studying at a lower-secondary school in September. In the school year coming to an end, 2,020 students attended 10 municipal lower-secondary schools, while 740 third-year students will leave their lower-secondary school buildings. They face an important decision about choosing their future field of education at an upper-secondary school.
Certificates will also be received by 3,470 upper-secondary students, including 1,348 general secondary school students, 1,614 technical school students and 508 students of basic vocational schools.
Earlier, on April 24, 1,172 final-year students received certificates of school completion. It is also worth mentioning the 2,131 preschool children who attended 15 municipal preschools and preschool classes in primary schools, the so-called reception classes, during this school year.
Many parents decided to send their children to preschool during the holidays. All municipal public preschools will operate in July or August to enable the parents of young children to continue working without concern.
