Singing

The WOK-Kultura Summer Vocal Workshops will take place in two age groups and will be led by Agata Pińczuk-Burdzy.

LEARNING CHILDREN’S SONGS: participants aged 8–12 will learn songs from well-known fairy tales, stories and musicals. They will have the opportunity to take on the roles of their favourite musical characters and thus experience the stage atmosphere of the pieces they learn (1–10 July and 10–20 August, 10:00–11:00 a.m., at the “Orzeł” Cultural Integration Centre).

FROM BLUES TO R&B: workshops for young people aged 13 and over and adults. Their aim is to introduce participants to various genres of popular music, from blues to R&B, through presentations of selected musical styles, learning about the top artists in each genre and learning songs. Activities will be held both individually and in groups (1–10 July and 10–20 August, 11:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m., at the “Orzeł” Cultural Integration Centre).
“A Song for Whom?” vocal workshops for children and young people aged 12 and over, led by instructor Barbara Lendzian (6–10 July, 3:00–5:00 p.m., in the BOK-MCC music studio).

Music

“Blues and Latin American Guitar”: guitar workshops led by Mirosław Kuc (6–17 July, 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., in the BOK-MCC music studio)
“The World of Drums”: percussion workshops for children and young people aged 9 and over, led by Tomasz Bubieńczyk (20–24 July, 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., in the BOK-MCC music studio).

Dance

Breakdance workshops for children and young people aged 7 and over, instructor: Paweł Klimek (1–3 July, 1:00–3:00 p.m., in the dance room at BOK-MCC).
Summer flamenco dance workshops will be led by Magdalena Zientara; there is no age limit (17–19 August, 4:00–7:00 p.m., in the BOK-MCC dance room). Aerobics for children: recreational activities led by instructor Agnieszka Podłaszczyk, for participants aged 6 and over (7–10 July and 14–17 July, 2:00–3:00 p.m., in the BOK-MCC dance room). Hip-hop dance workshops for established groups, instructor: Katarzyna Tomczyk-Jakubowska (17–21 August, 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., in the BOK-MCC dance room)

Visual arts

“Playing with Fabric”: visual arts workshops involving fabric-related techniques, including batik and painting on fabric, led by Magdalena Konieczna. For children and young people aged 8–18 (13–15 July, 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., in the BOK-MCC glass and stained-glass studio).

“Working with Glass”: interdisciplinary visual arts workshops led by Magdalena Konieczna. For children and young people aged 8–18 (7–8 July, 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., in the BOK-MCC glass and stained-glass studio).

“Whirling Stamps”: visual arts activities led by Magdalena Konieczna, culminating in participation in the procession during the Bolesławiec Ceramics Festival. For children and young people aged 8–18 (17–21 August, 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., in the BOK-MCC glass and stained-glass studio).

Ceramics

“Secrets of the Underwater Depths”: workshops with Edyta Orlińska in the ceramics and sculpture studio. For children and young people aged 7–16 (17–20 August, 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., in the BOK-MCC sculpture studio).

Photography and theatre

“Photography Workshops for Beginners... and Not Only”: open workshops for photography enthusiasts led by Grzegorz Matoryn. During the classes, participants will learn techniques that enable them to use their cameras consciously and creatively, making the most of their equipment. Participants will learn the principles of proper composition and how to select exposure parameters correctly regardless of external conditions (4–6 August, 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., at the “Orzeł” Cultural Integration Centre).

Artistic and theatre workshops, culminating in a happening performance during the parade opening the “Bolesławiec Ceramics Festival”. The workshops with Urszula Frąszczak-Matyjewicz are intended for a broad audience aged 10–100 (10–21 August, 2:00–4:00 p.m., at the “Orzeł” Cultural Integration Centre).
