At around 2:40 a.m., there was— as the volunteer firefighters from Nowogrodziec who took part in the operation wrote on their Facebook profile—a “rather unusual accident.” The driver lost control of the vehicle and rolled over… on a roundabout.
The driver turned out to be a 35-year-old man from Bolesławiec. Police officers stopped him after a pursuit. The man was drunk and driving at an extremely high speed.
What is more, the 35-year-old was banned from driving. And at the moment of the rollover… he was not wearing a seat belt.
Update
Police officers began pursuing the 35-year-old because he failed to stop for a traffic check. Moreover, it emerged that the car driven by the drunk driver—who had nearly 2 per mille of alcohol in his system when he was arrested—was neither insured nor registered.
The court will decide the further fate of the person responsible for the rollover.
