We will have a unique opportunity to hear works by Fryderyk Chopin and Ludwig van Beethoven live. On Wednesday afternoon, Chopin’s Études from Oppuses 10 and 25 and his B-flat minor Sonata with the Funeral March will be performed, as well as Ludwig van Beethoven’s Piano Sonata in D major.
Jerzy Owczarz is a graduate of Professor Zbigniew Faryniarz’s piano class at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław. He also studied in master classes with Borys Petruszański, Aleksander Orłowiecki and Istvan Lantos. He has performed many times in Wrocław, Kraków and Warsaw, as well as in numerous European cities: Brno, Prague, Budapest and London.
Despite his young age (born in 1989), he teaches in Poland and the Czech Republic. He is a laureate of several piano and composition competitions. From September, Jerzy Owczarz will be the piano teacher at our music school in Zgorzelec!
We warmly invite piano-music enthusiasts to Jerzy Owczarz’s piano recital. Admission is free.
