Officers established that during a quarrel between an intoxicated 44-year-old man and his 16-year-old son, a scuffle broke out, during which the teenager grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed his father in the chest area. After the incident, the boy called for help and then fled the house.
The injured man was taken to hospital. He has undergone surgery and remains under medical care. Tests showed that his body contained... more than 2 per mille of alcohol.
Police began searching for the 16-year-old. He was found and detained an hour after the incident. He was placed in a police juvenile detention facility. An investigation into the course of the quarrel is underway.
