The Municipal Harvest Festival was held in Brzeźnik. Delegations from 25 villages near Bolesławiec took part in Sunday's celebrations. The residents of Kraśnik Dolny prepared the most beautiful harvest wreath. The residents of Brzeźnik came second in the competition. The wreath from Golnice took third place. The remaining wreaths received distinctions. All the competition winners received cash prizes.
In addition to the competition for the most beautiful harvest wreath, competitions were held in Scythe Beating, won by Franciszek Długosz from Ocice, and Sheaf Binding with Straw Rope, won by Krystyna Kosior from Bolesławice. After the folk performances and competitions, a dance party began. The rain did not stop the people from enjoying themselves.
During Sunday's celebrations, a fundraiser was also held for Michałek Kozak from Bożejowice (in August, the boy lost a leg in an accident). Volunteers from the Towarzystwo Przyjaciół Dzieci collected nearly PLN 4,000.
