On the A4 motorway, near Bolesławiec, Border Guard officers inspected a Mercedes Sprinter. The officers noticed that the interior of the vehicle seemed too small in comparison with the size of the vehicle.

As it turned out, the cargo area contained compartments in which illegal cigarettes had been placed (276,000 cigarettes). The value of the goods was estimated at nearly PLN 180,000.

The Mercedes driver, a 44-year-old resident of Wielkopolska, was detained. He may face both a fine and imprisonment.
