Seven medals were won by the athletes coached by Tomasz Markowski. Poland’s representative at this year’s European Junior Championships, Kacper Olszewski (both are pictured in the header photo), won gold both in the shot put (18.07 m) and the discus throw (51.90 m).

A gold medal was also won by Dominik Stec in the javelin throw (59.40 m). Dominik also won silver in the hammer throw (49.03 m). Dawid Kopała won silver in the hammer throw (60.71 m), while his teammate Wojciech Kutryba took bronze in the same event (46.66 m).

Seven medals were brought back from Bogatynia by the athletes coached by Bartosz Gruman. Mateusz Tofil won the 110 m hurdles (15.53 s). Damian Gradzik won two gold medals—in the high jump (1.90 m) and pole vault (3.80 m). Kacper Popławski won silver in the 400 m hurdles (58.60 s), while Amelia Kołodziej finished third in the high jump (1.58 m).

The other Polish representative, Ewa Ochocka, who trains under Małgorzata Markowska, was in a class of her own. Ewa won two gold medals: the first in the 100 m hurdles (14.71 s), and the second in the 400 m hurdles (62.10 s). Among the other athletes coached by this trainer, Tobiasz Burzyński finished second in the 1500 m (4:23.31). His older teammate, Wojciech Karaban, also took second place in the 1500 m (4:12.20).

Two medals were brought back from Bogatynia by this year’s Polish 60 m silver medallist, Maciej Buciak, who finished second in the 100 m (11.19 s) and third in the 200 m (22.80 s). Paweł Jóźwiak, who has been struggling with injuries, won bronze in the long jump (6.31 m).

In the triple jump, Ryszard Posacki Krystian Skrzypacz’s trainee performed very well, finishing third (12.11 m).

In Bogatynia, Patryk Modras won silver in the 400 m (54.10 s). Mateusz Kopeć won bronze in the 3000 m (9:42.43). Both train under coach Dariusz Łomański.

On Saturday, MKS Boleslavia’s youngest athletes will compete for medals at the Lower Silesian U16 Championships in Wrocław, while their older teammates will face their peers in the first round of the Junior Athletics League.
