The film gives viewers the chance to get to know the Polish Pope as only a few of his closest friends and colleagues knew him. It contains extraordinary, previously unseen video footage documenting John Paul II’s private trips, conversations and meetings.
The film includes, among others, memories shared by Cardinal Stanisław Dziwisz, the Holy Father’s longtime secretary and friend, who accompanied him for nearly 40 years—from his Kraków days through his final days in the Vatican; Arturo Mari, John Paul II’s personal photographer; his bodyguard Egildo Biocca; and others who had the opportunity to meet the Holy Father in less official circumstances, during his private travels and holidays. The film’s narrator is TVP journalist Piotr Kraśko. The music was composed by Radzimir Dębski. We invite you to attend; reservations for morning screenings for organized groups can be made at the Forum Cinema box office by calling 75 645 32 92.
