Officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters detained a 31-year-old man who stole 2 chocolates from a store. After completing their intervention, the police officers did not leave but instead began observing the shoplifter. The suspect got on a bicycle and attempted to leave. When he saw the police officers approaching him, he abandoned the bicycle and began to flee. As a result of the chase, the Bolesławiec resident was detained.

The police officers determined that the 31-year-old had arrived at the market on a bicycle that he had stolen the previous day from the stairwell of one of the apartment blocks in Bolesławiec. The detained man admitted to stealing property. The recovered bicycle, worth 1,200 zlotys, was returned by the police officers to its rightful owner. Theft is punishable by up to 5 years in prison.
