The Lower Silesian Voivode warns residents of the voivodeship that the second heat-alert level (on a two-level scale) is in effect from Tuesday to Saturday. From Thursday to Saturday, daytime temperatures may rise to 35°C in the shade. The heat may worsen symptoms of weather-related illnesses and cardiovascular conditions, damage asphalt road surfaces and increase the fire hazard.

To avoid overheating, keep the air inside buildings cool. It is best to close the windows and draw the blinds. It is advisable to stay indoors for as long as possible. Light meals and regular consumption of large amounts of water are recommended. Alcoholic beverages should also be limited, as they cause dehydration. Excessive exposure to the sun should be avoided; if it is necessary to stay in the sun, it is worth wearing head coverings that will effectively protect the face and head from excessive heating.
