Officers from the Criminal Department of the District Police Headquarters in Lubin arrested three residents of Chocianów, aged 22, 23 and 24. The men are suspected of committing robbery with the use of an axe and burglary.

Both incidents took place in December last year. First, the perpetrators robbed a business premises in Lubin. When one of them entered, he threatened the woman working there with an axe and demanded that she hand over the takings. The perpetrators then fled. The next crime was a break-in at a single-family house. The burglars stole a wallet and mobile phones. It is worth adding that the owners of the property were there at the time—only... they were asleep.

The police established that the robbery was committed by the 23-year-old together with his 22-year-old accomplice. The former also took part in the burglary, in which he was assisted by the 24-year-old.

Burglary is punishable by up to 10 years in prison, while robbery carries a sentence of up to 15 years.
