During the oriental evening, two BOK-MCC amateur artistic movement studios will perform: the “Arabeska” oriental dance studio led by Alicja Kowal and the “Carmen” flamenco dance studio, whose instructor is Magdalena Zientara. Both formations will perform their characteristic dance routines, as well as a joint original fusion of oriental and Spanish dance.

The Tres band, well known to the Bolesławiec audience, will perform as guest artists during the festival. Its members are Mirek Kuc (guitar), Kamila Osuch (vocals), Andrzej Dziedzic (percussion instruments) and Sławek Zimniak (guitar). The musicians are known for their excellent arrangements of classical guitar music enriched with vocal pieces.

The star of the evening will be Elwira Janitzki, already known to Bolesławiec’s oriental dance enthusiasts from performances and dance workshops held at BOK-MCC. Elwira Janitzki specializes in belly dance, Persian dance and Romani dance. The artist inherited her southern beauty and temperament from her mother, who came from the former Yugoslavia. For years, she has performed with the Barro Rom Roma group, where she further develops her dance and singing skills. She also works with a professional international group of artists in the Oriental Dinner Show “Zelt der Sinne”.

The “From Spain to the Orient” festival is organized as part of the upcoming International Dance Day, which falls on April 29.
