The woman in the photo, which is of poor quality, takes her dog out several times a day and does not clean up. A park? Or perhaps a dog run?

At the time, we asked the head of the Bolesławiec Municipal Police, Kamila Chalewicz-Pudłowska, for comment. We asked about Bolesławiec residents’ awareness and whether they knew that they had to clean up after their pets. “It is certainly better than it used to be,” the Municipal Police commander said. “People come to collect bags for their four-legged friends’ waste. But certainly not everyone realizes how important this issue is. Above all, it concerns children, who may find this waste in a sandbox and then become seriously ill.”

Failure to clean up after your dog can result in a fine of up to PLN 500. But this penalty does not deter everyone. Well, unless municipal police officers appear on the horizon. Then things can even become rather amusing. “Officers tell me that sometimes people who do not have waste bags with them, upon seeing municipal police officers, can panic and pick up dog feces with their bare hands,” Kamila Chalewicz-Pudłowska added.

The Bolesławiec Municipal Police reminds residents that free bags for dog waste are available at the unit’s headquarters (14 Mikołaja Brody Street). They can be collected
