Almost all organizations and associations from the Municipality and City of Bogatynia took part in Saturday’s event. At various spots around the square by the City Hall, residents could enjoy delicious cake, popcorn, cotton candy and freshly prepared game.
Moreover, the Bogatynia Cultural Centre and the Bogatynia branch of Klanza provided children with plenty of attractions, including face painting, painting plaster figurines and balloon creations.
The festival also included fun on inflatable castles, horseback rides, motorcycle rides and quad biking.
One of the many attractions was also a series of artistic performances. On stage, we saw the Yamayka band, children from Bogatynia’s kindergartens, the dance section of the Bogatynia Cultural Centre, zumba enthusiasts, the Bogatynianie band, Mirella Puchowska and the unique Kramer band.
The highlight of the entire event was an auction of unique memorabilia, which proved to be a real bull’s-eye. The most popular gifts came from celebrities Justyna Steczkowska and Ewa Wachowicz. The total amount raised during the auction was over PLN 7,300.
Throughout the event, volunteers dressed as colorful fairy-tale characters walked the city streets. We could meet Winnie-the-Pooh, Mickey Mouse, Garfield and Hello Kitty. It was a wonderful attraction for Bogatynia’s youngest residents.
The proceeds from the entire event will be transferred to the account of little Hania, who needs our help. As Mrs. Kamila, Hania’s mother, says, there are very many needs.
Bogatynia has once again shown that in difficult moments it can stand together! United for one purpose: to help little Hania. The organizers report that by April 11, approximately PLN 43,000 had been raised as part of the “Having Fun for Hania” campaign! And this is not the end! A charity football tournament and a Zumba marathon are still ahead of us.
