The work is being carried out by SKG from Bożejowice. The cost of renovating the paths is PLN 110,719. The work will continue until the end of April 2015. An agreement has also been signed to prepare design documentation for including the playground on Parkowa Street in the municipal monitoring system. The documentation is being prepared by Alphatec Communication from Jelenia Góra.
This week, the installation of signs in the park was completed. The signs are part of a nature trail being developed by the Bolesławiec Municipal Gmina with the support of the Wrocław Regional Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
The project “Construction of a nature trail with infrastructure in the city park on Parkowa Street in Bolesławiec” includes, among other things, the production, delivery and installation of a dendrophone and four interactive educational boards. Their subject matter concerns plant species found in the park on Parkowa Street and animals that can be encountered in Bolesławiec.
Another component of the project is the creation of a website devoted to the trail, containing content related to the information presented on the interactive educational boards. In addition to the home page, five subpages will discuss individual stops along the trail. The subpages will also include educational activities that are appealing in both form and content, designed for preschool and early-primary-school children. The website will be hosted on a server of Bolesławiec City Hall.
The task also includes the implementation of the educational program “Nature Around Us” by the Municipal Ecological Education Centre in Bolesławiec, intended for schools and preschools in Bolesławiec. The program aims to promote knowledge of local flora and fauna, appropriate attitudes toward nature, and protection of the local environment. An art competition entitled “Nature Around Us” will also be held for preschool children and students in grades 1–3.
