A man from Bolesławiec Paweł Wilas (now living in Wrocław) did not intend to give his mother some ordinary birthday present. He did something truly extraordinary – he wrote letters to the leaders of European countries, asking them to send birthday greetings to his mother, Mrs Aldona.
Among those who fulfilled the Bolesławiec resident’s extraordinary request were, among others, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande, King of Norway Harald V and President of the Republic of Poland Bronisław Komorowski.
The editorial team joins the heads of state of the Old Continent in sending their best wishes to Mrs Aldona.
