Both detainees (16-year-olds from Bogatynia) were unable to rationally explain their behavior (they only said that they had been passing by there in the evening and had come up with such a macabre idea).
The perpetrators of this scandalous act of vandalism tore out crosses. They even set fire to several of them. In addition, tombstone slabs were moved. A total of 28 tombstones were damaged.
The teenagers will now answer for their actions before a court.
