This time, a small, frightened, huddled animal with sad eyes will be the main character of a meeting of the Children’s Book Discussion Club at the Municipal Public Library in Bolesławiec (Sądowa Street). We will find out who helped “strwożonko” feel like a loved and needed dog, friendly and happily wagging its tail.
The story “Strwożonko” was written by Joanna Papuzińska (pictured), whose work has accompanied Polish children for several generations. We all know the fairy-tale story “Nasza Mama Czarodziejka”. The writer has received many awards and was also presented with the Order of the Smile.
This wise and moving story, illustrated by Tomasz Borowski, was included by the Nasza Księgarnia publishing house in the collection “Poczytaj mi mamo jeszcze raz”, which contains the most interesting titles published over the years in the “Poczytaj mi mamo” series.
For parents, they will be a wonderful journey back to childhood, while for our young readers they will be a collection of fascinating stories by the finest Polish writers.
