A two-day conference on biogas was organized by Bolesławieckie Towarzystwo Gospodarcze. Seventy people from across the country took part. The conference consisted of a series of lectures and a trip to a biogas plant in Germany. During the meetings, representatives of institutions involved in the production and use of renewable energy sources were able to meet farmers and representatives of companies wishing to invest in the development of the biogas sector. Representatives of local governments also attended the meeting.

The conference participants were satisfied with the meeting. At their request, a decision was made to organize another conference. It is already known that one of the companies present at the meeting will open the first biogas plant in Poland, in Olsztyn.

The project was co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg III A programme. The co-organizers were Zakład Energetyki Cieplnej w Bolesławcu, Gmina Miejska Bolesławiec and ETB Goerlitz.
