The Final Four tournament will take place on 20–21 March at the sports hall on Lotnicza Street. On the first day, Siódemka Miedź Legnica will face Vive Tauron Kielce, while Orlen Wisła Płock will play MTS Kwidzyn. The following day, the winners will play for the Polish championship, and the losers for the bronze medal. In the final contest for the right to organize the tournament, the Legnica club defeated MTS Kwidzyn. President Tadeusz Krzakowski also contributed to this success by lobbying for the tournament’s organization in a meeting with ZPRP President Andrzej Kraśnicki.

The ZPRP board decided on the location of the final during its Wednesday meeting. Siódemka Miedź received an official letter on the matter, signed by ZPRP competition commissioner Bogusław Trojan.

“It is a pleasant surprise and an honor. It is worth emphasizing that this will be the first time the final of the national junior championship is played in the Final Four format. We are immediately starting preparations to organize this prestigious event, the likes of which Legnica handball has never seen before,” says Siódemka Miedź Legnica vice-president Piotr Pęczek. He adds: “President Tadeusz Krzakowski also contributed to this achievement by supporting our efforts to organize the tournament.”

Our juniors have reached the country’s top four for the first time in history. The team coached by Paweł Wita first won the Lower Silesian championship. It then triumphed in three tournaments: the round of 16 (in Legnica), the quarterfinal (in Mielec), and the semifinal (in Kwidzyn).
