His latest project, on which he is currently working, is titled “Fall in Love with Poland at Night” and presents the beauty of Polish cities and towns at night. It promotes Poland by creating an image of a country with modern infrastructure, caring about its external appearance and combining concern for history with functionality and modernity. Thanks to illumination and the nocturnal interplay of lights, the photographs take on a completely different, often fantastic dimension. Exhibitions are created from the photographs, and presented in public spaces and indoor venues in many cities around the world. Photographs made as part of the project have been presented, among other places, in:

  • Paris: “Secteur musique Médiatheque de Sélestat” Library
  • Zakopane: Municipal Park
  • Polish Senate: Museum Days
  • Strasbourg: Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe
  • Paris: Galerie Roi Doré
  • Krynica: Economic Forum
  • Poznań: Poleko International Trade Fair
  • Świdnica: Regions Congress
  • Warsaw – the square next to the Presidential Palace and metro stations
  • Tarnów – Main Market Square
  • Central PKP Stations (Open Gallery) – in Wrocław, Warsaw and Gdynia.

The author makes no secret of the fact that Legnica is one of the Polish cities closest to his heart. The public’s interest in the photographs he took here last year exceeded his wildest expectations. Krzysztof Masiuk’s photographs of Legnica at night delighted internet users, and the pictures from his trip to our city broke like records for likes on the project’s Facebook profile, “Fall in Love with Poland at Night”.

“It is true, Legnica is beautiful! When I was travelling to Legnica several years ago, I did not know and could not have imagined at all that it was also—or rather, above all—a beautiful old town with remarkable historic monuments that are unique due to their character. Apart from liking the city, I am truly deeply impressed by the people of Legnica and their attachment to the city,” says Krzysztof Masiuk.
