As officers established, the 25-year-old homeless man had been carrying out his criminal activity from August 2014 to January in Szklarska Poręba and Piechowice. He is suspected of at least fourteen such crimes, mainly thefts and burglaries.
The 25-year-old broke into and robbed roof boxes, storage units and garages. His targets included skiing equipment, power tools, surveillance cameras and gate actuators. The victims’ total losses amount to more than PLN 30,000.
The man will also face charges for property damage, as he damaged a furnace during one of the break-ins; the losses were assessed at more than PLN 3,000.
Officers recovered some of the stolen property. The detainee confessed. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
