As we can read on the website of the Marshal's Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, anyone interested may submit proposals for changes to timetables or adjustments to train routes by 22 February 2015.
As in previous years, in view of widespread internet access and technological capabilities, the authorities of Lower Silesia have decided that submissions may be made using the attached form. The completed form should be sent in .doc or .pdf format to kontakt.koleje@dolnyslask.pl.
The following requests will not be considered:
- incomplete, anonymous or containing false information;
- general and not presenting a specific demand;
- concerning Intercity and Eurocity, TLK, interREGIO and international connections (except cross-border trains to neighbouring regions of Germany and the Czech Republic);
- containing comments on the condition of rolling stock and train operating speeds;
- containing comments on the condition of railway lines and stations (such comments and complaints should be addressed to the companies responsible for maintaining railway lines and infrastructure, including PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe and PKP Nieruchomości);
- concerning the routes of long-distance connections (these connections are organised by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development).
The Office informs that the future shape of the railway transport offer will be influenced by a number of factors, including the amount of funding available to UMWD, the rolling stock and personnel resources of carriers, infrastructure availability, its condition and the possibility of providing an offer suited to demand, passengers' expectations and the level of civilisational development.
Due to the procedures involved in preparing the timetable, the waiting time for a response may exceed the usual one-month period. Officials nevertheless assure that every submission will be considered and that a response will be sent to you by email.
