The children are taking part in two projects: “The Mysterious Book of Adventures” and “How to Create a Fantasy World”, organised by Teatr Show. TEATR SHOW is a nationwide project created in response to teachers’ numerous questions about assistance with delivering topics related to the media. The project is carried out for particular age groups: preschoolers and primary school pupils in grades 1–3 and 4–6.
The format used as part of the project is modelled on increasingly common theatrical productions around the world known as ONE MAN SHOW, in which the “showman” leading the event guides the audience through the individual topics. In a magical way, the presenter introduced the young viewers to the secrets of modern media.
Today, to set out together on a journey through “The Mysterious Book of Adventures”, a film studio was built on the Forum stage. Working with the director, camera operators and editors, the children learned the basics of working on a film set, as well as key terms and commands. They learned about various film techniques and effects, such as animation.
During the workshop for older children, “How to Create a Fantasy World”, the film crew constructed a fantasy world while working together with the audience. Film creations were developed based on the genre’s essential features. Even simple special effects were used. The entire workshop was recorded visually and presented “live” on a large screen.
