The incident took place on February 8, at around 1:15 a.m., on one of the streets in Jelenia Góra. The KMP duty officer received a report of a break-in involving a Volkswagen Golf, which the owner valued at PLN 2,000. Two men broke into the car and drove away.
After several dozen minutes, police stopped the vehicle in Szklarska Poręba. It was being driven by a 19-year-old without a driving licence. The 26-year-old was a passenger.
Both men were taken into police custody. They face up to 10 years in prison.
