“I prefer Polish shit in the field to violets in Naples”—this quote from Kazimierz Przerwa-Tetmajer inspired Tymon Tymański (the film’s screenwriter and lead actor) when choosing the title for his movie. The film is bold both in form and content, speaking uncompromisingly about the backstage world of show business. An interesting project, well worth seeing, although it may not delight everyone. It is full of vulgar yet intelligent and sharp dialogue. The cast is certainly one of its strengths: legends of the Polish rock scene Tymon Tymański, Robert Brylewski and Filip Gałązka. The film also features Grzegorz Halama, Arkadiusz Jakubik, Sonia Bohosiewicz, Jan Peszek, Marian Dziędziel and Bartłomiej Topa. Krzysztof Skiba, Leszek Możdżer and Czesław Mozil also appear in the film.

The other premiere screening at Forum is the Polish comedy-drama “Warsaw by Night,” a story about women in a big city who share one desire: to experience true love. The cinema also invites you to see the hilarious “Penguins of Madagascar,” as well as “A Grain of Truth” and “Carte Blanche.”

Due to a schedule change, screenings of “A Grain of Truth” will be at 6:30 p.m. only on the weekend, and at 5:30 p.m. from Monday to Thursday. Details are available on the Forum cinema website.
