The classes last 76 hours and conclude with an examination qualifying participants to receive a certificate from the Polish Information Processing Society. The certificate is recognized by employers throughout the European Union.
Residents of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship aged 18–64, with no more than secondary education and a valid disability certificate, may take part in the course. Classes are held in the participants’ places of residence. In Legnica, they are scheduled for the turn of February and March. The training can begin once a group of approximately 12 interested people has been assembled.
The training comprises four subject modules: computer use and file management, word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel), and browsing websites and communication.
The organizers provide trainers experienced in working with people with various types of disabilities, learning materials (books and CDs), and laptops for the duration of the training. People requiring special care are provided with assistants during the journey to the training and on the way home.
Recruitment takes place by completing and sending an application form to the organizer (30b Ostrowskiego Street, room 1, 53-238 Wrocław). The form is available at www.eudajmonia.pl.
